hoj.

is a shell chair which is consistently made of wood to provide a natural and harmonious seating experience. It was originally designed for the design competition “Handwerk + Form”, a competition that is combining design and craftsmanship to establish the relationships between local manufacturers and designers from Austria and abroad. The project was made in collaboration with the local carpentry Tischlerei Geser.

The chair is the initial element of a coherent product family that also includes a bench and is intended for various applications in living rooms, dining rooms, cafes or waiting areas..

The chair is the initial element of a coherent product family and design language. A bench, a table and a bar stool will derive from the archetype “hoj”. These products should naturally celebrate the craft of woodworking with all its quality and ingenuity.
